Full and Clear Guide to Moment Smartphone Cases

So you have decided to buy one of Moments’ smartphone lenses to enhance your smartphone photography. Good choice!

Now it is time to choose a compatible phone case. First, you can read all about Moment cases in this blog post. Then, I will discuss which cases are compatible, whether or not there are other manufacturers, and how you should attach the lens to the case.

Since 2013 Moment has dedicated their time to developing top-notch photography gear for smartphone photographers and DSLR videographers and photographers. What cases are compatible with Moment lenses?

Moment developed smartphone cases compatible with high-end iPhone, Samsung, OnePlus, and Google phones. You can use these Moment cases for all Moment lenses on the market:

What is a drop-in mount by Moment?

Moment designed a drop-in lens mount for iPhone 12 and higher. It allows you to use Moment lenses with an iPhone case. It only costs a few bucks to upgrade your phone case to a Moment lens carrier.

Other high-end phones are compatible with Moment lens cases, or you can use a universal mount to attach the lenses to almost any smartphone camera and tablet.

How do you put Moment lenses in a case?

Put your smartphone in the Moment case by sliding the phone from the bottom upwards. It should slide in easily.

To attach the Moment lens you would like to use to the smartphone case, start lining up the white guidelines on the lens and case. You will find the guideline on the case just above the power button.

Use these white lines to set your lens in place before rotating it clockwise at 90 degrees. The Moment lens is in place when the Moment logo is parallel to the side of the phone. Watch this video made by Moment on attaching the lens to your smartphone case.

If you have an iPhone X, 11, or 12 model, you should not overrotate the lens in the smartphone case. Line up the white line on the lens to the corresponding line on the top of the case, and twist the lens 90 degrees. Do not rotate any further! Can you use Moment lenses with other cases?

Moment lenses work with Moment smartphone cases. But one manufacturer created a phone case in 2021 that is compatible with Moment lenses; Nomad.

Nomad has a partnership with Moment, and in 2021, they designed a premium leather iPhone 12 case with support for the Moment mobile lenses. The Nomad’s Rugged Case is compatible with the 18 mm wide-angle, 65 mm tele, fisheye, macro, and anamorphic lens.

This case has ten feet of drop protection and comes in rustic brown or black Horween leather. You can order the case directly from Nomad for around $60.

How do you store Moment lenses?

The best way to store Moment lenses is in a lens pouch with well-padded pockets. In addition, use the supplied lens caps to keep dust and dirt from scratching the surface of your lenses.

With the Moment mobile lens carrying case, you can bring four lenses and accessories like a microfiber cloth, memory cards, a remote shutter, a power bank, and charging cables.

How protective are Moment cases?

Moment phone cases are very protective and made of solid, long-lasting materials. The most reliable Moment and Rugged cases have a 6 feet drop rate onto hardwood from all angles. With a screen protector, the drop rate increases to 8 feet. In addition, you will get a 2-year warranty on all cases!

In addition, they care for the planet and make their cases from Bioplastic, a plant-based thermoplastic elastomer. It’s just as sturdy as their older models but fully compostable.

How thick are Moment cases?

Moment has different cases available for everyday use; the Moment case, a rugged one, and a clear one. The thickness of these phone cases varies between 1.9 and 3 millimeters.
